How to Create an Organized Gift Wrap Station

When days become shorter and the nights become colder, you are prompted that it’s that time of the year for family, goodwill, snowmen, hot cider, and obviously for gifts!  For every holiday party or family get-together you get welcomed to, it appears a gift is dependably close behind.  Why not handle the twelve days of Christmas and more with a gift-wrapping room or station inside your home.  Sounds scaring? Don’t take stress, it couldn’t be easier.

From birthday paper to Christmas gift tags, it appears as through there’s a gift to be wrapped throughout the entire year a variety of reasons. And when you collect those necessities for making the perfectly wrapped present.

Supplies you’ll Need:-

• Used wood frame.
• Rust-Oleum Ultra Cover 2X Clear Spray Paint.
• Rust-Oleum Universal Metallic Spray Paint.
• Rust-Oleum Universal Matte Spray Paint.
• Tube straps.
• Picture hanging hardware.
• Round dowel rods.
• Tack cloth.
• Latex gloves.
• Hammer.
• Sanding sponge.
• Sandpaper.
• Respirator mask.
• Drop cloth.
• Rubber leg tips.

Step 1 – Sand the picture frame: The initial step is to sand the picture frame with a sanding sponge or sandpaper to get rid of any chipped paint and to smooth the frame’s whole surface.

Step 2 – Wipe down the Frame: The time when you’re done with your sanding, wipe the entire frame down with your tack cloth. Ensure the frame is totally free of any dust or dirt from sanding. This will ensure that your paint adheres appropriately.

Step 3 – Spray Paint the Frame: To begin painting your frame, shake your can of Rust-Oleum Universal Matte Spray Paint for one minute after the mixing ball starts to rattle. Then, hold your can 8-12 in. from the frame and spray in a stable back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Spray 2-3 light coats a few minutes apart, then let the frame dry for about 30 minutes.

Step 4 – Topcoat the Frame: To protect your frame’s paint from wear over time, apply your Rust-Oleum Ultra Cover 2X Clear Spray Paint as a topcoat. To apply, first shake your can for one minute after the mixing ball begins rattling. Then, hold the can 10-16 inch away from the frame and apply 2-3 light coats a few minutes apart. The time when you’re done applying the topcoat, then you need to put the frame aside to dry for 24 hours.

Step 5 – Sand the Dowel Rods: Next, you’ll need to lightly sand each dowel rod with sandpaper or a sanding wipe. Because of this, the paint adheres to the rods and it gives you smooth and even coverage. For best results, delicately sand. When you’re done sanding, be sure to wipe down the dowel rods to remove any dust.

Step 6 – Spray Paint the Dowel Rods:

Spray paint each dowel rod with Rust-Oleum Universal Metallic Spray Paint, utilizing the same technique you used to spray the frame in Step 3. To ensure you cover the entire rod, spray 2-3 light, even coats on one side of each rod, then wait until the paint is dry to the touch (about 30 minutes) before turning the rod over and spraying the opposite side.

Step 7 – Topcoat the Dowel Rods: Now that the dowel rods and tube straps have dried for around 30 minutes, spray them with 2-3 light coats of Rust-Oleum Ultra Cover 2X Spray Paint. Now the next step is that you need to utilize the same technique once again, like you utilized in Step 4 to topcoat the frame. This will protect the metallic paint from rubbing off.

Step 8 – Attach the Tube Straps: When your frame, dowel rods, and tube straps everything are totally dry, you need to attach the tube straps to the frame utilizing the included nails and a hammer. Set the straps evenly so that there will be enough space for each roll of wrapping paper. You’ll also need to ensure the straps are lined up on each side.

Step 9 – Hang the Frame: Now the thing you need to do is attach your photo hanging hardware to the back of the frame, following the directions on the packaging. At that point, hang the frame where you need your gift wrap station to be. Ensure you hang it at a comfortable height where you can easily reach the top dowel rod.

Step 10 – Add Your Wrapping Paper: Now at the end, coming to final step is that slide the rolls of wrapping paper and ribbon spools onto the rods, and then slip the ends of each rod into their respective tube straps. If you’d like to add a stopper to the finishes of the rods so that they can’t be pulled out, we found that rubber leg tips work admirably.
