Rust-Oleum Automotive Universal Bonding Primer Spray Paint

Rust-Oleum Universal Bonding Primer Spray Paint is a fast dry, maximum adhesion white primer that firmly bonds any topcoat to difficult-topaint surfaces, including two part epoxies. It may be used on interior or exterior surfaces to include galvanized steel, wrought iron railings, furniture, aluminum flashings, PVC, porcelain, masonry, glazed brick, metal, wood, fiberglass and other surfaces.

Universal Bonding Primer features an advanced spray system that allows you to spray at any angle, even upside down for those hard to reach areas. A comfort spray tip with a wider finger pad reduces fatigue caused by continuous spraying.

NOTE: It is not allowed to send this item through air mode. Surface mode is enabled for the same. Thus, shipping will be done through surface.

How to use universal primer spray paint

Suitable Environmental Conditions to Use

Use outdoors or in a well-ventilated area such as an open garage. Use when temperature is between 50-90°F (10- 32°C) and humidity is below 85% to ensure proper drying. Do not apply to surfaces that, when heated, exceed 200°F (93°C). Avoid spraying in very windy and dusty conditions.

Surface Preparation

Wash the surface with a commercial detergent, or other suitable cleaning method to remove dirt. Rinse with fresh water and let dry. Remove all oil, grease, wax and petroleum based materials with mineral spirits. Remove loose paint and rust with a wire brush or sandpaper. Lightly sand glossy surfaces. Cover surrounding area to protect from spray mist.

Application

Shake can vigorously for one minute after the mixing ball begins to rattle. If mixing ball fails to rattle DO NOT STRIKE CAN. Contact Rust-Oleum. Shake often during use. Hold can 12" from surface and spray in a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Keep the can the same distance from the surface and in motion while spraying. Apply 2 or more light coats a few minutes apart. Do not use near open flame.
