How to Use Our Wood Floor Polish/Restoration Kit

Surface Preparation: Before using our wood floor polish, ensure the surface is free of loose dirt or dust by wiping it with a damp rag. Although the refresher is compatible with various previously finished surfaces, it does not work with wax. To test for wax, dampen a rag with mineral spirits and wipe the surface. If the rag picks up a waxy residue, the surface contains wax. To eliminate the wax, dampen a rag with mineral spirits and wipe the surface until it's thoroughly clean.

Application: Work methodically in small sections, typically 4x4 feet in size. Using a painting pad or foam-style mop, apply the Wood Refresher in a Z pattern. Ensure even distribution by spreading it in the direction of the grain. Continue this process, section by section, until the entire floor is covered.

After Application: After application, let the wood floor refinishing kit dry for 2-4 hours before considering a second coat. For laminate floors, it's crucial to prep with Varathane No Sanding Refinishing Prep before applying the Wood Refresher.

Clean-up: Clean application tools and equipment thoroughly using soap and water. Dispose of any contaminated absorbent materials, containers, and unused contents in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
