DIY Clock from Wood Blocks

Supplies you’ll need: Lumber blocks, miter saw, table saw, hand saw, circular saw, metal screws, plastic screws, speed square, half inch dowel, drill with driver bits, chisel rod, round fleet pads, razor blade, random-orbit sander, carpenter's square, electronic drill machine, wooden glue, drill press, metal scale, pen or pencil for marking, hammer, wood stain, Rust-Oleum Specialty Lacquer Spray Paint.

Step-1: On the centre block, where the clock movement will take place, you should trim off the face to a thickness of around 5 mm. Utilize a mitre saw or table saw to do this.

Step-2: Put the face of the center block aside for the time being while you drill out a square hole in the back piece where the clock movement will be placed. Refer to the clock movement itself for the size you have to remove.

Step-3: Drill holes at the four corners and cut out the rest of the jigsaw.

Step-4: Drill a hole in the center face for the clock movement to be injected. Utilize epoxy glue to stick the clock movement to the back of the centre face.

Step-5: Apply a dot of wood glue around the edge of the drilled out piece and place this over the clock movement and onto the back of the centre face.

Step-7: Use a sharp wood chisel to evacuate wood on the back of the blocks for mounting the back edge. This frame is utilized to hold all the blocks together. The back for this wall clock is cut from a scrap piece of plywood.

Step-8: Secure the back edge in place with wood glue and leave for two or three hours. Place a heavy object on top to press the frame firmly on top of the blocks.

Step-9: Drive a screw through each of the blocks for secure mounting of the frame to the blocks to hold all the pieces together.

Step-10:  Cover up the center clock movement in order to apply your choice of wrapping up. Most pallets are made from pine and take on their own charm as they age. Several coats of wood stain & after that Rust-Oleum Specialty Lacquer Spray Paint is all that is needed to enhance details. Once dry, pop on the clock hands and mount your clock on the wall.
